A little bit about me...
Growing up in Sweden, I was crafting short stories and poems at age six, telling everyone that “When I grow up, I'm going to be a writer (or a homemaker).” I’ve stayed creative ever since through writing as well as photography and painting. For the record, I gave up writing poems at seven. And sadly, I never learned to bake.
It was my passion for traveling and a fascination with foreign cultures that brought me to Santa Barbara, California, in 1992. I received my bachelors degree in magazine journalism from California State University Northridge (CSUN) in 2001 and, after two years as fitness and research editor for Spa magazine, I embarked on a career as freelance writer, editor and photographer.
I contribute to a range of national and local publications and businesses, specializing in anything from feature writing, content production and marketing to line editing, architectural photography and web design. I'm the editor of Beverly Clark's Elite Wedding Collection magazine and a contributing editor to Spa.
Additionally, I'm the director of C.A.R.E.4Paws, a nonprofit organization promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in Santa Barbara County, and the proud mom of little Julian as well as three wonderful rescue dogs: Bailey, Canela and Eddies.
I still love traveling and am always thinking up new places to discover.
